Activists from the “Red Card for Qatar” collective claimed Monday in a press release that they had tagged the Stade de France the previous night.
Slogans such as “Qatar stinks of death”, “Boycott Qatar 2022” or “6,550 dead, 2,100,000 slaves, 1 filthy cup”were tagged in particular at the entrances and access to the Saint-Denis enclosure, a few hours before the match that the Blues are to play there on Monday against Croatia in the League of Nations (8:45 p.m.).
The press release was accompanied by several photos bearing these tags.
Pressure from NGOs on the FFF
The action of the SDF, carried out by “activists of the Alsace-Lorraine maquis and Extinction Rebellion Paris”joined in a protest movement led by several NGOs on the conditions for organizing the World Cup in Qatar next winter (November 21 – December 18).
Amnesty International thus published last month an open letter to the Blues concerning the living conditions of workers in the small gas state of the Arab-Persian Gulf.
