Harmony Gold, a South African mining company, announced on Thursday June 2 that it had mobilized an amount of 10.2 billion rand (about 656 million USD) to finance the construction of three photovoltaic power plants capable of producing up to 137 MW by 2025. Funding comes from syndicated, multi-currency and multi-tranche credit facilities including a “green loan” of 1.5 billion rand (96.5 million USD). The round was led by ABSA Bank Limited, Nedbank with the participation of other investors including international institutions.
