Dakar, IAM reinvents the model of African business schools – Jeune Afrique

“A new model, everyone is thinking about it, including French business schools,” slips Paul Ginies, president of Takafa Education. This holding company, which brings together the investment company ECP, the Finnish financial institutions Finnfund, the Danish IFU and the French Proparco, completed at the end of 2019 the acquisition of the African Institute of Management (IAM), one of the flagships Senegalese higher education, also deployed in Bamako.

Four months later, the Covid forced all schools in the country to close their classes. “On Saturday, the government informed us of the decision to close, on Tuesday the teachers started their first online lessons,” recalls Bamba Fall, the educational manager of the IAM.
