Hello bank, the online bank of BNP Paribas, has offered since May 2021 an account dedicated to the self-employed (craftsmen, traders, liberal professions, freelancers, etc.). This entirely digital offer, 10.90 euros excluding tax per month, has been designed to facilitate their daily operations. A specific customer service has also been created, Hello Team Pro, available 6 days a week, and specialized in professional issues.

The Hello Business offer

This formula includes a professional account with French IBAN and a Visa Hello Business card with immediate or deferred debit, depending on the customer’s choice. All payments and withdrawals, whether made in euros or foreign currencies, are free. This card is compatible with contactless payment, as well as mobile payments via Apple Pay. With regard to other means of payment, direct debits and SEPA transfers are also free of charge, even instantaneously. Money transfers in foreign currencies are also not charged, provided that the operation is denominated in the currency of the recipient. The holder also benefits from a check book, which can be sent to their home free of charge.

This pro account allows its user to be paid in multiple ways:

  • by transfer,
  • by credit card using Lyf Pro, an application that turns your smartphone into a payment terminal (1.35% of the transaction amount),
  • by check that he can scan via the application or deposit in a BNP Paribas branch, at no additional cost,
  • in cash, with deposits at BNP Paribas network counters being free,
  • via a Hello Pay Pro mobile payment terminal, at 39 euros excluding VAT, connected by Bluetooth to the user’s smartphone. It allows you to collect card payments with code validation, contactless payments and mobile payments (a commission of 1.60% applies to each transaction).

Another advantage of this offer is to offer an overdraft to its customers: the holder automatically benefits from a cash facility of 1,550 euros, in order to better manage its cash flow. For those who need longer-term financing, it is possible to apply for a professional credit, up to 25,000 euros. The latter does not require any guarantee, and does not generate administrative costs. This account is entirely manageable from the Hello bank application, where the holder follows his transactions in real time and configures his card. He can block and unblock it, activate and deactivate contactless or online payments, and modify his payment and withdrawal limits. Subscription is done entirely online: all you have to do is fill out a form with your contact details, provide the supporting documents (identity document, proof of registration less than 3 months old), and sign the contract electronically.
